Defying a tear-gas assault by security forces, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido on Tuesday called on President Nicolas Maduro to step aside. Guaido was accompanied by a group of men in military uniform outside a Caracas air force base as he addressed reporters, saying he had the support of the troops to begin the "final phase" to end Maduro's presidency.
